Changes to the Festival Committee

Mike Pescod has recently been appointed as the new Chairman of the Fort William Mountain Festival. To those of you in the climbing world, Mike's name will be well known from his mountaineering company, Abacus Mountaineering. Mike is a proud supporter of the Lochaber area, and is also a voluntary Director of the Outdoor Capital of the UK community company.

Mike takes over the Chairman role from Lex Troedson, who held the post since setting up the Festival in 2002. Lex has worked tirelessly to make the festival the amazing event it is today and it's thanks to his passion, determination and ability to encourage and motivate others that the festival continues to go from strength to strength. Lex will continue working with the Festival in an advisory capacity until 2008.

Other changes to the Committee are the new Vice Chairman, Alistair Ness, and new Secretary, Maddy Harris.
