Mountains inspire us all in different ways - and you won't find a better example of the diversity of mountain culture than in this year's festival lectures and films.
But don't just spectate - participate! We've got loads of ways for you to get active and involved, so grab the chance to join in on an avalanche awareness course, winter-climbing or winter-walking workshop.

FESTIVAL PATRON - The Fort William Mountain Festival are delighted to announce that Dave 'Cubby' Cuthbertson, a climber, mountain guide and mountain photographer, who has been inextricably linked to the development of cutting edge climbing in Scotland for the past two and a half decades, is the Patron of the Fort William Mountain Festival.

MOUNTAIN CULTURE AWARD - Jimmy Marshall, the architect of modern Scottish climbing, has become the third person whose contribution to mountaineering and Mountain Culture is recognised by the prestigious Scottish Award for Excellence in Mountain Culture.
